Key Candidate Benchmarks
- Passion for Garment & Apparel Design: A genuine interest in clothing construction, textiles, fit, market trends, or visual storytelling.
- Effective Communication: Clear, articulate visual, written, and interpersonal communication skills across cross-functional teams (e.g., design, production, marketing, and client relations).
- Industry & Educational Background:
- A degree or diploma in Fashion Design, Apparel Merchandising, Textile Sciences, Marketing, Communications, or a related field; OR
- Completion of accredited coursework, technical certifications, or demonstrated equivalent industry experience showing a solid grasp of garment development and the fashion lifecycle.
Hiring & Selection Process
Our recruitment process is structured to evaluate both technical competencies and brand alignment:
- Application & Portfolio Review:
- Initial screening of resumes, portfolios, or work samples to verify relevant educational background, coursework, or practical apparel experience.
- Initial Culture & Passion Alignment (30 mins):
- Focuses on soft skills, communication clarity, and the candidate’s personal interest in fashion and garment culture.
- Role-Specific Evaluation / Portfolio Deep Dive:
- For design, production, or marketing roles, candidates present past projects, coursework, or participate in a short, practical scenario relevant to the role.
- Final Team Interview:
- Assessment of collaborative problem-solving, values alignment, and direct communication with team leaders.
